Target groups
Dealing with digital infrastructure in public space addresses a large number of different groups such as screen owners, operators, manufacturers and technicians, cultural producers, curators, artists and software designers, architects, planners and various governmental bodies as well as researcher and public intellectuals.
Agenda
Urban Screens is the beginning of a worldwide movement promoting the extended use of digital displays in public spaces. The Association will assist their networking abilities and their sustainable considerate integration in the urban landscape. It will support to examine how current commercial use can be broadened with cultural content and thus become a new public exhibition and information format.
Through a series of travelling annual Urban Screens Events of conferences, screening events and the online community exchange platform we aim to establish and support this "Urban Screens movement" and foster exchange of ideas and content between members.
